This year, in connection with our year theme of Rooted and Regenerative, we are using a resource called A Time to Grow, by Kara Eidson. In it, she sets a theme for each week that connects a lesson from the Lectionary text (a tool used by many churches, including the UMC, to study the Bible in a 3-year cycle, matching the ancient rhythm of the liturgical calendar) for Lent with a lesson from the world of growing things.
The midweek mailing will often include a prayer or meditation from or inspired by this resource. On Sundays we will journey together through this theme.
