During the season of Christmas, we celebrated one of our 5th Sunday mission Sundays. Though our 5th Sunday missions are usually a time to go out, with the large number of people who travel, we thought it was best to do a mission by giving a Christmas present to our neighbors. To do this we partnered with H3–Health, Healing, Hope: a local ministry that brings health and healthcare to homeless neighbors in Sanford.Learn more about them at their website. We collected warm winter gear–socks, gloves, hats, and gently used coats. It was an incredibly successful donation drive, and H3 expressed that it helped a lot as our neighbors grappled with the polar vortex in late January!
H3 Thanks JUMC for Christmas presents
